Muncie City Impact Roundtable

Saturday, November 11, 2006

Come join us for:

  • Deepening relationships and team building.
  • Strategizing employment sector impact for Christ.

God has given Citywide Church Network fresh vision.  He has called us to prepare the Church for Christ’s return. Ephesians 4:11-13 tells us how: we need the right leadership to equip the saints for the works of ministry, which will lead to unity in the faith, and maturity in the church.

A mature Church provides salt and light for the community, reaching redemptively into every sector: business, schools, government, neighborhoods, churches, etc. The City Impact Roundtable is designed for marketplace and church leaders to seek the face of God together, build relationships, and strategize the redemption of each community sector.

Please join us for an exciting day of relationship building and strategizing on Saturday November 11 from 9 to 4 at Price Hall 704 S. Madison, Muncie. Please register by emailing Chris Batz at chris.batz@gmail.com.

The Local American Red Cross Pandemic/Disaster Preparedness

& Church Neighborhoods

Saturday, November 4, 2006

  • When a disaster strikes Muncie, will the Church be prepared to help?
  • We can be by adopting neighborhoods and helping those neighborhoods prepare.

In response to the ice storm in January 2005 and the threatening pandemics, the local American Red Cross has invited the churches in Muncie to make their facilities available as shelters and train church volunteers to be prepared for disaster.  Over 16 churches have stepped up to this challenge!

Now the local American Red Cross, the Delaware County Health Department, the local EMA, and WIPB have invited us to take the next step.  We are asking churches to adopt a neighborhood and distribute pandemic/disaster preparedness information to each household in their church neighborhood on Saturday, November 4.  The local American Red Cross has produced an informative free brochure for this purpose.

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday October 10th or Thursday October 12th at 7pm depending on what neighborhood sector your church belongs to. If you are interested in being apart of the Church Neighborhoods of Delaware County please contact Stephanie LeBlanc, Administrative Assistant (765) 289-2372 dleblanc47304@comcast.net

This is a great opportunity for your people to be “equipped for works of service,” and demonstrate Christ’s love.
