Jesus Day is an international celebration honoring Jesus.  It unites the entire body of Christ in cities around the world for one purpose: to worship Jesus.  He deserves to receive extravagant praise in full public view as a living testimony from a living church to a living God.

Jesus Day has no political agenda.  Its goal is to honor Jesus by encouraging the church to get into the streets with acts of service and celebration.

Jesus Day 2003

Nearly 1000 people participated in the March for Jesus on June 7th.  The march was spectacular, the praise gathering was awesome and the food and games were very popular.  All in all it was a great victory for the Lord.  The next day we received front-page coverage in the Star Press.  Jesus had a big impact on our community that day!

"Anytime the love of Christ is demonstrated by sincere  followers of Jesus, the community is served and the Kingdom is advanced.  I am very thankful Jesus Day afforded the opportunity for so many to intentionally share His love with people in our city.”  Pastor Bob Ball, Blood N Fire Ministries

"Jesus Day has been a blessing to the City of Muncie.  it gives the body of Christ in Muncie the opportunity not only to tell others about Jesus, but also to share with them the life of Jesus.  Jesus said in Matthew 20:28, "just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many."  His life was about serving and giving.  Jesus Day gives us a platform to actually leave the four walls of our churches and take the gospel to the streets.  Jesus Day gives youth an opportunity to see the gospel come alive, to serve the City of Muncie with nothing in return."  Assistant Pastor/Youth Michael Long, Word of Life Church

Compassion Revolution
Churches partnered with other churches to serve the community in some way on Jesus Day. Compassion activities were scheduled  before the Jesus Day March.

Praise Gathering

At 3pm everyone met under the Big Top in the parking lot outside of Sears in the Muncie Mall.  Local praise leaders from several churches lead praise.  Local pastors lead us in prayer for our city and nation.

Jesus Day March
At 4 pm everyone left the Big Top, marched down Granville, around the Mall and back to the Big Top.  This was  about a one-mile walk. Busses were available for the handicapped.

Festival
After the March, there was food for all and games for children under the Big Top
